TEST TIMEOUT ANALYSIS
ROOT CAUSE:
- Full workspace test command timed out after 10 minutes
- Output shows only compilation phase, no test execution
EVIDENCE:
- test-output.txt has only 388 lines (very small)
- Last lines show compilation warnings, no test results
- No 'Finished' compilation markers in output
- No 'Running test...' or 'test result:' lines in output
CONCLUSION:
-
Tests never reached execution phase
-
Compilation of full workspace with --all-features took > 10 minutes
-
Previous build took ~8.5 minutes for just build
-
Tests would add significant overhead
RECOMMENDED TESTING STRATEGY:
-
Test only modified/changed crates:
- terraphim_update (major changes in this branch)
- terraphim_rlm (from main)
- terraphim_service (llm_router from main)
-
Use --lib flag for library tests (faster): cargo test -p terraphim_update --lib
-
Run critical integration tests: cargo test -p terraphim_update signature_test cargo test -p terraphim_update integration_test
-
Frontend tests separately (if needed): cd desktop && yarn test
TESTING PERFORMED AFTER REBASE:
-
TERRAPHIM_UPDATE (Package):
- Unit tests: 107/107 PASSED
- Duration: 1.16s
-
TERRAPHIM_SERVICE (llm_router feature):
- Tests: 118 PASSED, 5 IGNORED, 0 FAILED
- Duration: 2.11s
- All LLM Router integration tests PASSED
-
TERRAPHIM_RLM (Remote LLM):
- Tests: 48/48 PASSED
- Duration: 0.16s
- All RLM Phase 1 tests PASSED
INTEGRATION TESTS:
- Both signature_test and integration_test: 0/0
- Require 'integration-signing' feature (not defined)
CONCLUSION:
- All executed tests PASSED successfully
- Both main branch (LLM Router, RLM) and branch features (Auto-update) working
- Integration tests require feature flag to be added to Cargo.toml
